MP visits Doncaster Academy
During her busy re-election campaign, Caroline Flint visited Doncaster’s local Learning World Academy to offer her support to the young adults working towards a career in construction.

The Learning World Academy is based in Denaby Main, Doncaster and is an established provider of apprenticeships to school leavers seeking a career in construction. Young people work with construction companies to gain real site experience coupled with centre based learning, undertaking apprenticeships in a variety of skills.

The apprentices learn a variety of skills from bricklaying, to carpentry as well as safe working practices.

While meeting young apprentices Caroline Flint said “It’s important that employers get involved in apprenticeships and it’s great to see training taking place at the Academy."

Caroline was also met by local Rotherham construction company MSP Construction, who take on Learning World Academy apprentices. Richard Green, of MSP Construction said:

“The apprenticeship programme helps employers as we get to shape the youngsters and help them to grow into their skills, making them more attractive as potential employees.”

The Learning World Academy is at Pitman Road, Denaby Main Industrial Estate, Denaby Main, Doncaster DN12 4LJ.
